Digging Through the Archives II

As the previous post, these are old poems that were done back in 2002-3??  In their unaltered form.  Notice the lack of punctuation and the tight feeling to the lines.  I always got what I wanted out on the page first and then would add punctuation later...actually I'm still like that...

Purple Sea of Ignorance and Pain From You

The dark purple sea of long ago
Images fly past, blurry, unrecognizable
seasons turning, ever changing
Lives lost in the tide
The current driving their soul away
Captured by the purple sea
Victim to its pain, your pain, our pain
Succumb to the empty hollow
Screaming, bleeding, shaking, heart aching
Universally sane
misjudged apprehension
smoothed over pain
living outwardly dying inwardly
Same story same line
Everyone passing over
Forgetting the importance of self
You live for life, life waits for death, death waits for you.
screaming, bleeding, shaking....

Digging Through the Archives

I have an extremely old iBook laptop, it has to be at least 10 years old.  I found some old Word documents that I quickly transfered to my external hard drive.  Thought people might like the nice flash back.  I did this poem probably back around 2002-3 ?

In Dreams

Till the dream awakens,
falling, turning, spinning.
Down the dark way I came
are twisted creatures,
reaching out of the walls,
screaming at the damned
with restless appetites.

Can I wake from this restless dream?
A nightmare, it pulls at me.
It beckons me forever
to lie in a dead sleep.
Can I escape on my own?

Strange things are stirring inside of me.
Down deeper, and deeper I go.
Life slipping, draining, and dripping away.
Clawing the walls,
screaming for a redeemer
but still ever falling.

Blood spewing from the recesses of my mind.
Escaping from the hell,
running, sprinting, sweating.
All pointless.
